I need to add pins to a schematic symbol. The user guide tells how to create a new symbol, but not how to edit an existing symbol. So what is the magic incantation?

You will edit the symbol in the Symbol Editor. With the tool open maximize the window. On the tool bar select the Open Symbol icon. Now search for the symbol and load it for editing. If you are editing a symbol that has already been saved to your schematic you should review the post below regarding a known issue with symbol editing.
