You will want to use a fanout via from your surface mount pad. The forum post below explains how to add vias.

SMD Pad to Power Plane

    by jvollrath » Mon May 14, 2012 9:30 am

How exactly does one connect a surface-mount pad to an internal power plane, or should I just make a full via and have it connect to the plane (I wanted to avoid this to maximize space)? Should I made a via with a beginning layer of top and an ending layer of power plane? I'm not sure how to go about it.
