Deleting Nets

    by CptPicard » Thu Oct 09, 2014 12:03 pm

Hello!

How can I delete unused nets?

I'm in the midst of the learning curve of PCB123, and the board I'm working on now has a large number of repeating patterns. When I copy and paste, all the established nets are renamed (eg XXX_112) in the copy. I rename these as need be, but I can't find a way to delete the "temporary" nets that arose when I copy/pasted. It makes assigning nets extremely tedious.

Thanks very much!

If the net is truly no longer in use PCB123 will remove it from the list of nets you see on the layout side. You may need to save and restart the application to see the update. There is another option for deleting nets from the schematic side. Go to main schematic and press F11. Find the net you want to delete, right click on it and select delete global net if you are sure you want to delete the net.
