Net selection between connector pins.

I have a net between two adjacent pins on a connector symbol that I want to delete. I am not able to select the net to delete the net. I have refreshed the screen to insure the net is real and not an artifact.

I have attached a screen shot of the net between the two pins and I circled it.

Is there a filter function that I can apply so I can only select the net and not get the component?

Can anyone suggest how to delete the net? When I select the connector and move it the little net between the pins moves with the connector.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Go to the footprint, right click on one of the pins and select disconnect pin from net.
