Placing Pads on the bottom side of the board

Only pads saved as a footprint can be placed on the bottom side of the board. Select Design New Footprint, lay out the desired pad array and save the footprint. If you have already laid out the pad array on the layout you can copy those pads and paste them into the footprint editor. After saving the footprint go back to your layout and place the footprint. With the select an object tool active mouse over the footprint. Once you see the small green IC light up you can right click and select opposite side from the menu options. This will mirror the footprint and move it to the bottom side.
