Thanks for the feedback. I wil submit your suggestion to our development team. To help with the issue PCB123 automatically clips any silkscreen that comes in contact with a solder plated pad. We clip away any silkscreen that extends into a solder mask opening.

Silkscreen overlays pads

Is there a way to prevent silkscreen from overlaying pads? I was trying to design a barrel power jack component but the dimensions of the component have the silkscreen outline intruding on the solder pads. I suppose that drawing individual lines and avoiding the pads would be one way, but what a pain. If not feasible now, how about a future enhancement that would prevent silkscreen from intruding on pads?
