If the net is truly no longer in use PCB123 will remove it from the list of nets you see on the layout side. You may need to save and restart the application to see the update. DFX import is pretty limited because it does not support arcs. Any arcs in the outline will make a mess of your outline. In v2 the schematic is another program. Go to Start > All Programs > PCB123 v2 > PCB123 Schematic.

On the compatibility tab you could also try selecting Disable desktop composition.

I can't imagine why that would happen. If you don't have service pack 3 maybe try service pack 2.

Right click on the desktop shortcut for PCB123 and select Properties. Go to the Compatibility tab. Select the box next to Run this program in compatibility mode for. Select Windows XP (Service Pack 3) from the drop down menu and select OK.
