Re: Can't connect pins on schematic

This usually comes up when you have a footprint with Pin Names that do not match the schematic Pin. When you create a footprint you set the Pin Name for each pin. By default the pins you place on the footprint are numbered starting at 1. When you create a symbol you have two labels for each pin. Fir...

Re: Placing and Editing ports

You can only see the Net Assignment section when you have the add port tool selected or when you have a port selected. The Port Attributes section contains the Net Assignment field and will be at the top of the Edit Panel as shown below.

Re: PCB123 Library Corrections

Library parts have been updated. The package is a MAX3370 5-pin SC70 (MAX3370EXK-T). The pinout appears to be a mirror image of the actual pinout, the schematic pinout is correct. This part has been updated in the following libraries. maxim_12-17-2009_4.slb maxim_12-17-2009_3b.slb maxim_12-17-2009_3...

Re: PCB123 Library Corrections

Several libraries have been updated to correct 0805 and 0603 footprints that actually have 1206 footprint. Several examples of this issue are shown below. These parts should have 0603 or 0805 footprints, but the footprint that is paired with the part is actually 1206. PN: ERJ-3EKF24R9V, Footprint: R...

Re: How do I modify the solder mask layer?

Dan, The solder mask swell is 3 mils, and it is a fixed value in PCB123 . If you order through our Full Feature or Custom quote service you can include notes asking that specific solder mask features are increased or decreased. I have already submitted an enhancement request to include a control for...

Re: DFMPlus / PCB123

PCB123 has built in design checking that allows you to design boards that fit into our prototype services. The DFMplus tool does that and more. If you have a clean DRC through PCB123 you should be ready to go through our online prototype services. If you intentionally violated some PCB123 rules to o...
