Ultra Library part issues

Postby Sal Hernandez » Tue Aug 20, 2013 10:07 am

We have found parts in the Ultra Library that have incorrect footprint associations, incorrectly labeled footprints, or footprints that match the component pads not the recommended land pattern. Please be sure to check every part that you place on your design to ensure that it matches the part that you will purchased and place on your pcb. We are working to correct these issues so please report any incorrect footprints or symbols that you see in the PCB123 libraries.

Is this topic thread the best place to report symbol or footprint issues?

If so, all of the LT1790 variants have an erroneous symbol. Pins 4 & 6 are swapped. Also, some 0402 cap footprints have pads that are too widely spaced. Seems like way too many variations on footprints for what should be very standard surface mount dimensions. One single footprint for all 0402 caps and resistors ought to be enough. Some will have their own different standard, but they can then make their own.
