Traces disconnecting from components

Postby L3CEmuxman » Thu Nov 08, 2012 7:17 am

I am experiencing an apparently new problem with version 4.1.20. If I have partially routed a design and later decide that I need to move a component that does not yet have traces attached to it then traces that are in the same nets that are connected to the component and already routed elsewhere also move along with the component. I have not seen this before on earlier versions. Others using PCB123 at this location have seen the same thing and it is causing a world of trouble when trying to make components fit on a crowded board. Somehow the traces already routed to other components seem not to anchored to the pins anymore.

I have not experienced this behavior. Would you please send in a .123 file for review and the steps to reproduce the issue?

Thanks for submitting the board file. I have opened a ticket for our development team.

You can keep the traces in place by using a left click and release on the footprint. A left click and hold moves the traces and the footprint. A left click and release just moves the footprint.

Please feel free to contact customer support if you have any questions.
