Re: Best Practices for Quick Turn Board Ordering

The best way to let Sunstone know exactly what you want is to create a Fabrication Note and include it in the .zip file that you submit. In that note you can indicate how you want your board to be created. Our team of engineers will then be able to read that note and communicate back to you the best...

Re: Layer Count

You will need to go Full Feature for this type of board. The five cut outs eliminates it from our Quickturn service. But after that you can have up to 50 slots/cut outs in Full Feature. I think that would be your best bet for manufacturing the boards.

Re: v5.1.0 Feedback

No it's not just you. We have had several people call and email that there seems to be a lag. It has to do with the full screen scroll. We are coming out with a patch for that in the newest version, 5.1.1.1. This should be coming out within the next week. I can help you go back to the previous versi...

Re: Excel database of library parts

We do not have an excel spreadsheet of all the parts in our library. There are almost a million parts there and that spreadsheet would be too large, and almost as difficult to look through. Also we are constanly adding new parts to our library so the excel spreadsheet would need to be updated every ...

Re: Incorrect routing

After looking thorugh your files what I suggest you do is change the autorouting grid to 20mils. That will help it to avoid some of the other components. It won't be perfect. The autorouter is not the most precise tool, and while it's a good start it shouldn't be relied upon to give the best routes....

Re: Silkscreened Logo

PCB123 (Printed Circuit Board CAD Software) does not allow you to import images into the layout view. Images on the silkscreen can be drawn using the available drawing tools. If you have the logo as a gerber you can try using the gerber import option found under the File > Import menu.

Re: Funny Shaped Part Pads

Once you have created a pad you cannot change the net for it. You will continue to get this error. But since you know that it will actually work I would recommend you simply ignore that error. You may however run into problems in maufacturing since I don't think the custom pins will not show up in t...
