Re: Updated: PCB123 Parts Creation Process

These are all issues resulting from the user side. For the first two problems it means that you do not have authority on your computer to access the folders necessary to save a part. You will need to have your IT person fix this to make sure you have the administrator rights to save to your computer.

Re: PCB Layout Help

This sounds like you need more help than Sunstone can provide. I would recommend you try a design firm. They will be able to handle your needs a lot better. Here is a link to a few of our recommendations.

Re: How to Order PCB with gold-plated edge connector

You can specify this in a readme file, either as a .txt or a .pdf file. If this is a hard gold connector you will need to order this through our Custom Quote service. I would recommend submitting it through that service.

Re: Failure of new part creation

This is happening because you do not have access to the files that you are supposed to save the parts to. Are you the administrator on your computer? You will need to make sure that you have the authority to save to your computer. You should talk to your IT guys about fixing this on your side.

Re: V5.1.2 and V5.1.3 don't keep track of recent files

When you open up PCB123 there shoud be a list of recently used PCB123 files. This sounds like a problem with your operating system. The software should just automatically go to the file you recently opened. If you have never opened the file before you might have to navigate the path to the files.

You can click on the Select Part button on the top of the screen. I am attaching a picture of what this will look like.

Re: Best Practices for Quick Turn Board Ordering

The best way to let Sunstone know exactly what you want is to create a Fabrication Note and include it in the .zip file that you submit. In that note you can indicate how you want your board to be created. Our team of engineers will then be able to read that note and communicate back to you the best...
