Re: V5.1.2 Feedback

I'd like to report something odd about it too. Something seems to have happened either in the move from the V4 to V5 family, or maybe even in one of the minors, I'm not sure. But anyway, my 'unselect' time is way way long. What I mean is, if I select say, 5 nets in the schematic page, but then click...

Feature Request - 3D View

I know the 3D View tool is not meant to be an end-all be-all modeler. But it would be really great if there were two other configuration switches: 1) Transparent On or Off. By that I mean, make the board either see thru (as it is now) or opaque top and bottom so you only see one side at a time 2) Pe...

Re: Draft Forum Messages

It's in your User Control Panel. You should see in your browser, under the banner stuff for Sunstone, this: BOARD INDEX >> GENERAL PCB123 DISCUSSION USER CONTROL PANEL (0 New Messages) VIEW YOUR POSTS Click on USER CONTROL PANEL You should see a tabbed display, with 'Overview' selected. The fourth c...

Can a layout Polygon be a Pin?

That's pretty much my question. I need some arbitrary shape for a connection pin. I know how to make the polygon, that's fine. And I can embed a small pin inside the polygon, and get the result I want, but the DRC errors kind of slow down the redraw. Is there any way to use pin or polygon properties...

Best Footprint Practice for PCB123 / AVX 9276

I'm designing a circuit board that uses a connector from AVX/ELCO, and I'm not sure what the best way to model the footprint is in PCB123. The catalog (Page 5 of: http://www.avx.com/docs/Catalogs/9276.pdf ) shows two pads per pin, the two pads are shown connected together in copper, and then covered...
