Re: Extra bit of plane between pins

No one ever responded so I played around a little more. I added a test point to the N/C pin and the extra bit of plane disappeared. My next design will be an FPGA with a lot of N/C's. Hopefully I won't see this again.

Extra bit of plane between pins

I have 20 pin SOIC part on the top layer of a two layer board. Pin 19 is N/C. Pin 18 is GND. I flooded the top layer of the board with a polygon connected to GND. It connects fine to pin 18 but inserts an odd bit of trace between pin 18 and 19, connected to 18 and almost touching 19. It's definitely...

Re: Silkscreened Logo

What I did was create a new part. I had to give it a single pin in order to create it. Then in the footprint editor I redrew our company logo in the silkscreen. It's tedious but works if your logo is something that can be drawn with lines circles and polygons. Hopefully Sunstone will add an artwork ...

how to lock a plane

Is there any way to lock a flooded polygon in place? Every ground and power plane I make ends getting accidentally moved as I fiddle with traces and components. I figured out how to lock components and that's a huge time saver. I wish I could do the same for planes.

Re: Parts Libraries

The renaming thing is sort of wonky. You have to keep your mouse precisely still, if it moves at all it's like you hit enter. My mouse is on a cord and just the weight of the cord barely pulling on the mouse is enough. I have to hold the mouse still with one hand and type with the other. Usually tak...

Re: v5.1.0 Feedback

I am also getting the "out of memory" error. I'm currently at 3.9GB of my 8GB, with PCB using 1.73GB. What now? I'm running W7 Home version (64bit) with SP1, on a HPE-240f. I have a not very complicated two layer board. Update - I updated to the latest, 5.1.2. I still see the memory leak, ...
