PCB with no solder mask

Postby istvanb » Fri Feb 14, 2014 5:01 am

I have designed a small PCB. I am working on a low budget project so I have disabled the solder mask feature to save some on the cost. My question is: are the traces exposed to corrosion if I order a PCB without a solder mask? If so what kind of a protection should I apply?

If you don't order solder mask the traces will still be covered with a solder finish. I don't have any recommendations for products you can apply to the board post manufacturing.
