Postby Eric Haugen » Tue Oct 02, 2012 9:53 am

We are aware a new bug was introduced with the 4.1.20 when a user goes into add part and in and out of the properties of a part the software will freeze and crash.

Reason: To ensure it gets seen in both General and PCB123 schematic subs

i am a new user for the schematic capture program so there is some potential that I am trying to do some unexpected things. BUTTTT... It is crashing on me very regularly. I am still using archaic windows xp. At this point I don't feel I can spend any more time on the tool. I can't afford to lose everything (since my last save) when the tool decides to quit on me.. It feels like I am back to windows 3.0 :(

Hello attached is a copy of my backup directory contents. I really don't know what I was doing when it crashed. I did move on to another schematic SW. I am giving this to you for your benefit if you can find something.

4 1 20 crash to desktop bug

Postby AngelaXXX » Tue Jan 29, 2013 7:21 am

Where do save files live? I have one that gets this crash within 30seconds-5minutes of loading. I dont know if its a problem with my system, or just some random combination of variables in game.

Hello, this thread should help you find a back up if you're still having issues with your design crashing.
